About this product
This farrier hoof rasp is for levelling and shaping the hooves of horses, cows, goats and pigs. It is 48.5 cm long and 4.4 cm wide, with a blade 0.5 cm thick, and it weighs 700 g. The rasp is double-sided, with coarse teeth on one face and fine teeth on the other. One edge has saw teeth. The handle is textured for a firm grip. Use the coarse side to take down the hoof wall after trimming. Finish with the fine side so the hoof is flat and the animal stands level. Farriers use a rasp before fitting a horseshoe. Dairy hoof trimmers use it after the nipper and the knife. Hoof nippers, hoof knife sets and a complete hoof care kit are also in our range.
