This nose ring stops a calf from suckling its mother during weaning. Farmers who keep cattle and calves use it.
Per carton: 300 pieces.
Size (L x W x H): 12 x 2 x 9 cm.
This calf weaner stops a calf from suckling its mother during weaning. It is a plastic nose piece with rounded ends that sit inside both nostrils. The wing nut and screw closure holds the weaner in place and adjusts the fit. Outward-facing spikes touch the udder when the calf tries to suckle, and the cow moves away. The calf can still graze, eat feed and drink water with the weaner on. Each weaner measures 12 x 2 x 9 cm and weighs 32 g. A pack holds four weaners. Dairy farmers use it when a grown calf will not stop suckling, or when a calf drinks milk meant for sale. Check the fit and the nostrils while the weaner is on. Take it off once the calf has stopped suckling, and wash it before the next calf.
