This trocar and cannula set is for releasing gas from the rumen of cows, calves and sheep with bloat. It relieves free-gas bloat, where gas collects above the rumen contents. Frothy bloat needs other treatment from a vet. The vet pushes the sharp trocar through the left flank into the rumen. The trocar comes out, and the cannula stays in place so the gas escapes. The box holds one trocar and one cannula. The set measures 14 x 3 x 2 cm, weighs 72 g and is blue. Clean and sterilise both parts after each use. This is a tool for a vet or a person trained by a vet. Mouth gags and stomach tubes are also in our range.
