About this product
This castration bander fits rubber rings for the castration of sheep, goats and calves, and for tail docking of lambs. The kit has one bander, steel or plastic as ordered, and 100 rubber rings. Place a ring on the four prongs and squeeze the handles to stretch it open. Slip the ring into place and release the handles. The tight ring stops the blood supply, and the part below it dries and drops off in a few weeks. The method uses a ring, not a cut. Use it on young animals under the guidance of a vet, with pain relief and tetanus cover as advised. The bander measures 21.5 x 10 x 2 cm and weighs 230 g. A carton holds 100 steel banders or 150 plastic banders. Spare packs of 100 rings are also in our range.
